The team behind Encre Vive
Inspiration, drawings to personalise and practical guides to prepare your tattoo project, from the first idea to a discussion with your artist.
Who are we?
Encre Vive is a team of three enthusiasts with complementary skills: testing and writing, visual design, development and AI. No outsourced writing, no assembly-line content: every comparison, every guide and every feature of the animation tool goes through our hands before reaching yours.
Encre Vive helps you turn an idea into a visual reference. Explore tattoo ideas, compare styles and personalise a drawing with the AI generator. These proposals are a starting point: your artist adapts the motif, dimensions and placement to prepare the tattoo.
What we do
Create your drawing
Describe a motif, choose a style and generate a visual reference to discuss with your tattoo artist. The drawing helps you explore your project before adapting it to your body.
Practical guides
Prepare your first tattoo, compare styles and choose an artist: practical guides for your project, alongside resources for tattoo professionals.
AI animation
Turn a tattoo photo into a video to share. Animation is a separate feature from drawing generation and uses paid credits.
How we work
- Real testing: no tool enters a comparison without being handled. When we couldn't test something, we say so clearly.
- Transparency: some links are affiliate links — the tool doesn't cost you more, and the commission funds the site and the animation tool. Our opinion is not for sale.
- Independence: no brand can buy its spot in a ranking or have a review removed.
Our full method is public: read our editorial policy.
What about the AI animation?
Unlike basic filters, Encre Vive relies on generative AI models trained on thousands of tattoo styles (old school, realism, dotwork, Japanese…). The animation respects the stroke and texture of the original ink, and your photos are processed confidentially.
Analysis
The AI identifies the contours, shading and style of your tattoo.
Generation
It creates a smooth animation loop, from cinemagraph to full motion.
HD render
You get a high-definition video, optimized for social media.
